Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania’s famous northern parks and the perfect place to relax after your international flight.

Depending on your arrival time, you can unwind at the lodge or enjoy the peaceful surroundings before receiving a safari briefing in preparation for your adventure.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees, impressive elephant populations, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive as you explore the park’s scenic landscapes, home to lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, and more than 500 bird species.

A picnic lunch will be served inside the park before continuing your afternoon safari.

Day 3: Tarangire – Central Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands before entering the world-famous Serengeti National Park. As the endless plains unfold before you, enjoy an exciting game drive en route to your lodge.

Keep watch for resident wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, hyenas, giraffes, and vast herds of grazing herbivores.

Day 4: Full Day Safari in Central Serengeti

Spend the day exploring Central Serengeti, one of Africa’s richest wildlife habitats. Morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five and observe predator-prey interactions across the vast savannah.

Depending on the season, you may also encounter part of the Great Wildebeest Migration as thousands of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains.

Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Safari

After an early breakfast, depart the Serengeti and travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s best wildlife destinations.

Enjoy a game drive across the crater floor, where you may encounter endangered black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and many other species. After a picnic lunch, ascend the crater and continue to your lodge for the evening.

Day 6: Lake Eyasi Cultural Experience – Departure

After breakfast, drive to Lake Eyasi for a unique cultural experience. Visit the Hadzabe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in East Africa, and learn about their traditional way of life, hunting techniques, and survival skills. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet the Datoga people, renowned for their traditional blacksmithing and craftsmanship.

Following the visit, enjoy lunch before returning to Arusha or transferring directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight, bringing your unforgettable Northern Circuit safari to a close.

4. Night Game Safari

Discover the African wilderness after dark on a thrilling night game drive in one of Tanzania’s designated parks or private concessions. Accompanied by an experienced guide and spotlight, search for elusive nocturnal wildlife rarely seen during the day, including bush babies, porcupines, genets, civets, aardvarks, owls, and even predators such as lions or leopards beginning their nightly hunt. The sounds and atmosphere of the bush at night create a truly unforgettable safari experience.
