Arrival Day: Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Hagen Adventures representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy a comfortable drive through the beautiful surroundings of northern Tanzania while receiving a brief introduction to your upcoming safari.

After checking in, the rest of the day is free to relax and recover from your journey. Take the opportunity to enjoy the hotel facilities and prepare for the exciting safari adventure that awaits you with Hagen Adventures.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up in Arusha by your professional Hagen Adventures safari guide. You will drive through the scenic countryside toward Tarangire National Park, enjoying views of local villages, farmland and the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania. Upon arrival, begin your game drive through Tarangire, a park renowned for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and diverse wildlife. Keep your eyes open for giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs and numerous bird species, with chances of encountering lions and other predators. After a picnic lunch, continue exploring the park on an afternoon game drive, following the best wildlife areas according to the season and animal movements. In the late afternoon, leave Tarangire and continue to Siafu Serenity Lodge, where you will check in, enjoy dinner and relax overnight.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Airport Transfer

After an early breakfast, depart for the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, traveling through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro highlands. On arrival, descend into the crater for an exciting game drive in one of Tanzania’s most spectacular wildlife areas. The crater is home to a remarkable variety of animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and abundant birdlife. With luck, you may also have the opportunity to spot the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the safari before continuing with your final exploration of the crater. Later, ascend from the crater and begin your transfer toward the airport, with the timing arranged according to your flight schedule. Your Hagen Adventures guide will assist you at the airport, marking the end of your memorable Tanzanian safari.
