Arrival Day: Welcome to Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Hagen Adventures representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy a comfortable drive through the beautiful surroundings of northern Tanzania while receiving a brief introduction to your upcoming safari.
After checking in, the rest of the day is free to relax and recover from your journey. Take the opportunity to enjoy the hotel facilities and prepare for the exciting safari adventure that awaits you with Hagen Adventures.

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up in Arusha and a scenic drive toward Tarangire National Park. After entering the park, enjoy a game drive through its beautiful landscapes of baobab trees, open savannah and seasonal waterways. Tarangire is particularly famous for its large elephant herds, while giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs and numerous bird species can also be spotted. With luck, you may encounter lions and other predators. After a picnic lunch, continue exploring the park before heading to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Natron
After breakfast, depart Tarangire and journey toward the spectacular Lake Natron area. The drive takes you through remote landscapes and traditional Maasai communities, offering a glimpse into rural life away from the main safari routes. As you approach Lake Natron, the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic, with the volcanic landscape of Ol Doinyo Lengai rising in the distance. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of this unique destination. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short walk around the area or simply relax and enjoy the scenery.

Day 3: Full Day Lake Natron
Today is dedicated to exploring the fascinating Lake Natron area. The lake is famous for its striking landscapes, alkaline waters and large populations of flamingos that gather in the shallow waters during suitable seasons. Enjoy a guided nature walk around the lake and its surrounding environment, taking time to appreciate the volcanic scenery and unique wildlife. You may also explore nearby waterfalls or natural walking trails, depending on conditions and the activities included in your safari. Lake Natron offers a completely different experience from the traditional game-drive destinations, making this a memorable day of nature, scenery and adventure.

Day 4: Lake Natron – Serengeti National Park via Kleins Gate
After breakfast, leave Lake Natron and begin your journey toward the Serengeti. Enter the Serengeti through Kleins Gate, a quieter entrance that provides access to the northeastern part of the park. As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast grasslands and acacia-dotted plains, where wildlife can appear at any moment. Enjoy a game drive as you make your way deeper into the park, with opportunities to see giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, elephants, antelopes and predators such as lions and cheetahs. Continue to your lodge or safari camp for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 5: Full-Day Serengeti National Park
Wake up to the sounds of the Serengeti and prepare for a full day of wildlife exploration. After an early breakfast, set out with your experienced guide for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. Explore different areas of the park based on current wildlife movements and seasonal conditions. The Serengeti offers opportunities to encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebra, as well as lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hyenas and numerous bird species. With the flexibility of a full day, you can travel farther into the plains and enjoy more time observing wildlife and photographing the spectacular landscapes before returning to camp in the evening.

Day 6: Full-Day Serengeti National Park
Continue your Serengeti adventure with another full day dedicated to wildlife viewing. Depending on the season, you may have the opportunity to witness large herds involved in the Great Migration, while resident wildlife such as lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes and buffaloes can be seen throughout the year. Day 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Safari
After an early breakfast, depart from the Serengeti and continue toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Depending on the route and wildlife activity, enjoy game viewing along the way before reaching the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for an unforgettable game drive through its diverse habitats and wildlife-rich plains. You may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and hyenas, with a chance to spot the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the safari before continuing your exploration of the crater floor. Later, ascend from the crater and continue to your accommodation in the Karatu or Lake Eyasi area for dinner and an overnight stay.
