Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Hagen Adventures representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy a comfortable drive through the beautiful surroundings of northern Tanzania while receiving a brief introduction to your upcoming safari.

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up in Arusha by your professional Hagen Adventures safari guide. After a short briefing, drive toward Tarangire National Park through the scenic countryside of northern Tanzania. Upon arrival, begin your game drive through a landscape of ancient baobabs, open grasslands and seasonal rivers. Tarangire is particularly famous for its large elephant herds, while giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs and numerous bird species can also be seen. With luck, you may encounter lions and other predators. After a picnic lunch, continue exploring the park before heading to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

Day 3: Full-Day Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the Serengeti. After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch, allowing you to venture deeper into the park and spend more time observing wildlife. Depending on the season and animal movements, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebra, as well as lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hyenas and numerous bird species. Your experienced guide will select the best areas to explore based on current wildlife activity. The vast open plains also provide spectacular opportunities for photography, especially during the early morning and late afternoon when the light is at its most beautiful. After a full day of exploration, return to your accommodation for dinner and another peaceful night in the Serengeti.

Day 4: Early Morning Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Eyasi

Begin the day with an early morning drive from the Serengeti toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The early start provides another opportunity to see wildlife when animals are most active. Continue toward the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the crater for an unforgettable game drive. The crater’s enclosed ecosystem supports a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the crater safari before continuing your journey toward Lake Eyasi.
